Overview of System Overlay Fields and Overlay Formulas

A user can assign certain groupings of questions and rules to a bond configuration. These groupings of questions and rules are called applications. There are five types of applications: Bond, Account, Category, Class, and Root.

Select Build a Bond/Manage Applications to view all system overlay fields available.

Scroll down to the System Overlay Fields and Overlay Formulas sections.
- This section will include all of the system overlay fields and the possible overlay formulas within Tinubu Surety Solution for Carriers (TSC).
The question overlay fields for questions currently being asked on this bond configuration can be found in the second section of this same page.
All question overlay fields can be found at Reference Tables/Overlay Fields/Question Overlay Fields. Please refer to the Question Overlay Fields guide for more details.
To view the specific system overlay fields, click on the triangle to the left of the Overlay Category the user would like to view.

When the overlay category is opened, rows with each overlay field will appear. The user can then copy the overlay field to insert on the PDF document being used.
Overlay formulas are also available to be used with date-type overlays to format the output on a PDF. This section has the formula name, a description, and an example of the output on a PDF.
