Search and Choose Obligee (Commercial Only)

During the Build A Bond process, an obligee will need to be selected if the Bond Family is commercial. This is a two step process. The search and choose steps are listed below.

Search Obligee

Searching for the obligee is the second step in building a commercial bond. Each method will take a word or name and try to match that text to the beginning of whichever search criteria was selected in the Search Type dropdown menu.

• You may search by Search Type using the dropdown menu. The options are listed below.

  • Obligee Name

  • Obligee State

  • Obligee Code

• Add text to Search Text.

• Select Submit.

• Search Type was Obligee State.

• Search Text was Florida.

Choose Obligee

When building a bond, an obligee will need to be selected if the Bond Family is commercial. As in the example shown above, the list of obligees will be dsiplayed once you have submitted your search criteria.

• Select Choose Obligee if the desired obligee is listed.

• Select Create from the bottom left of the screen if the desired obligee is not listed.

• If you selected Choose Obligee, cpmplete the information for the Bond Type and select Submit or Choose Another Obligee to continue.

If you selected Create, complete the information and select Submit, and choose your obligee from the list.
