Quick Search

Overview of the Quick Search

• The Quick Search feature allows users to quickly search for existing bonds and accounts within the system.

• To use the Quick Search, enter the name of an account, the name of a bond, a bond or account number or a known tracking number into the Quick Search field.

• The Quick Search feature uses a fuzzy search, which means the user does not have to enter the full text to initiate the search.  The Quick Search will start to search after the first four characters of the search term have been entered. 

Account Search Results

• When multiple results are returned while searching for an account, the results will display in order of account status: Active, Inactive, Suspended, Closed.

• This sorting will occur on all search bar use as well as during the buy a bond process.

Quick Search Icons

• The Paper icon represents a bond.

• The ID card icon represents an account.

  • The account number or bond number, and tracking number will be displayed in the drop-down menu.

• Choose the Account or Bond by clicking on the icon.
