Creating and Editing Carriers
An essential part of any bond is the carrier. For a commercial bond within Tinubu Surety Solution for Carriers (TSSC) , the carrier is one of five criteria that compose a bond configuration (the others being: State, Class, Category, and Obligee). For a contract bond within TSSC, the carrier is one of three criteria that compose a bond configuration (the others being: Class and Category). This article is to help users add and maintain these carriers to the system for the setup of a commercial or contract bond.

Carrier Premium Notes
The Carrier Minimum Premium is only used for Annual Type bond configurations. See the Premium Calculation article for the setup of an annual type bond configuration.
If the Type of Premium is set to Term or Any, the Carrier Minimum Premium value will be used against the total purchase price of the bond (including any Pre-Paid Years). In addition, if the bond configuration has a multi-year discount applied to it, the Carrier Minimum Premium will be calculated after the multi-year is calculated. See the Bond Configuration Settings article for the setup of Multi-Year Discounts.
If the Type of Premium is set to Annual, the Carrier Minimum Premium will be used against the premium amount for each year (pre-paid years) of the bond purchase. In addition, if the bond configuration has a multi-year discount applied to it, the Carrier Minimum Premium will be calculated before the multi-year is calculated.
Signatures and seals can be added to a carrier’s different entities. These can only be added once the carrier has been created. Please see the Edit a Carrier section below for detailed instructions for this use case.
