Create Bond Class

In Tinubu Surety Solution for Carriers (TSSC), a bond class is one of the defining criteria for a bond configuration.  For Commercial Bonds, there are five criteria (State, Class, Category, Obligee, and Carrier).  For Contract Bonds, there are three criteria (Class, Category, and Carrier).  The combination of these credentials must be unique per bond configuration.

Create a Bond Class

  • Navigate to Reference Tables/Bond Classes

  • Select Create at the bottom left of the screen.

  • Select a Bond Family and continue to add the necessary selections.

    • The Bond Family determines if a class will contain Commercial or Contract bonds.

    • The Code is an internal value used for reporting and does not drive functionality within TSSC.

    • The Class Description is the title of the bond class.  The Class Description is what will display for a bond class while buying, building, and maintaining a bond.

  • Select Submit at the bottom of the screen once complete.

  • Back to List will display active bond classes.

    • Your newly created bond class will appear in the list.
