Buy a Bond/Question Groups (CSR/Admin User)
Overview of Buying a Bond
After bond configurations are built in Tinubu Surety Solution for Carriers (TSC), bonds can then be bought to conduct live business, as well as for testing purposes.
Keep in mind that according to the set up for each bond configuration, the buy a bond process can be very different for each one. There are multiple factors that determine how the buy a bond process is handled, including bond configuration specific setup, application folder setup, and system-wide settings.
Select CSR/Underwriting/Buy a Bond to begin purchasing a bond.
Question Groups
Once the people and company information is submitted, the user will be prompted to answer questions from Question Groups applied to the bond configuration. These questions are limited to those that are assigned to the Bond Application life cycle.

Some question groups can be designated as optional. If so, there will be a pop-up that will appear with the optional question group text, prompting the user to decide whether to answer these questions or skip this question group entirely.
Questions marked with an asterisk (*) will be required.

Some question groups can be designated as indexable. If so, there will be an ‘Add Another’ button at the bottom of the questions. This allows the user to enter additional entries for the same questions.

Application Summary
Once all question groups have been completed, the user will come to the final step of the bond application. The application summary will display all information entered from the initial bond information page and all the question groups. These can be reviewed and are editable to make any corrections needed before the application is submitted.
If setup as part of the bond configuration, a checkbox can be added to the application summary page. This checkbox is designed to obligate the user to acknowledge that the applicant’s credit report may be pulled as a result of this bond application. If using this checkbox setting, the user will not be able to submit the bond application until the checkbox is checked. The text for the heading, content, and checkbox indicator are editable. Please contact TSC Support to make changes to these texts.

After the bond application has been submitted, the TSC decision engine will determine whether the bond application is automatically approved, rejected, or referred to underwriting for a subsequent decision to be made to approve or reject the bond application. If approved, a quote for the bond will be available for purchase.
