Buy a Bond/People and Companies (Agent User)

Overview of Buying a Bond

  • After bond configurations are built in Tinubu Surety Solution for Carriers (TSC), bonds can then be bought to conduct live business, as well as for testing purposes. 

  • Keep in mind that according to the set up for each bond configuration, the buy a bond process can be very different for each one.  There are multiple factors that determine how the buy a bond process is handled, including bond configuration specific setup, application folder setup, and system-wide settings.

  • Select Buy a Bond to begin purchasing a bond.

People and Companies

  • Once the initial bond information is submitted, the user will be prompted to answer questions from people and company question groups applied to the bond configuration.

    • The people and company entity types can be required, optional, or excluded depending on the bond configuration. 

  • Select Add Person or Add Company to add an entity to the bond application.

    • This will open a pop-up with the company or person questions being asked. 

      • Questions marked with an asterisk (*) will be required.  After entering the information, click Save to keep this entry or Remove to discard this entry and return the main page.

  • All people and companies added will be displayed in tiles above If using an existing account to apply for the bond, all account people and company records will be displayed.  Use the Select check-boxes to designate if that entity should be included in the bond application.  After entering all people and companies for the bond application, use the dropdown to select who will be the applicant (principal) on the bond; and click Next to continue to the next step in the application.​

  • When adding in a new Person or Company you might see a display showing that an existing account on the People and Company page based on the entered information, the accounts displayed for selection will include the Account Status for the associated person or company.
