10009 – Hashed Passwords

  • As a security enhancement, all passwords within eSURETY™ are now hashed, rather than encrypted. This distinction means that even identical passwords will not be identical after being hashed, where encrypted identical passwords would be identical in their encrypted state. Every time a password is entered or updated, the new password will be hashed.

  • Upon delivery of this release, a one-time background job will be run to hash all existing password, but all passwords will remain the same for all existing users.

Fixes

10010 – SQL Injection Error for Question Group Table Name

A security update has been made to disallow SQL injections into the Table Name for question groups.

10027 – Fixed Company Popup Rendering in Chrome and Firefox

The company popup from the Person/Company page for buying a bond had compressed fields for the question entries. This has been corrected to ensure the entry fields are expanded to the proper length.

10196 – Excel Template Fields with 9.6965

When the value 9.6965 was entered in the WIP, Company or Personal Financials, or an Account Profile; saving the sheet would error due to a conflict with the Excel template. This has been corrected to allow for this specific value to be entered.
