14565 – Upgrade to Buy a Bond and SureLYNX™ User Experience

The user experience for buying a bond has been upgraded with an improved look at feel. However, the functionality behind the process remains fundamentally the same.
Buy a Bond Process
Page title designed into styled box.
Input fields wrapped in a panel and centered on page.
Increased size and centered buttons.
Changed color of remove/delete buttons from red to grey.
Initial Bond Information Page
The fields displayed are now grouped according to similar fields and wrapped in panels.
People Company Page
Updated default instructional text.
Text will not be automatically delivered to maintain existing changes made to previous text. Please contact eSURETY® Support to have this text updated.
The Add People and Add Companies buttons have been updated.
Bond Page
The Load All from Account button has been modified to ‘Load All Acct. Parties and has been redesigned.
Bond Application Results Page
The electronic signature check box has been changed to a button, including the localized value for the agreement.
The page message for the application result has been put into styled display card.
Purchase Bond button has been added for credit card payment profiles to simultaneously submit the payment profile and the purchase action.
eSURETY® Store Specific Changes
Removed all back buttons to prompt consumer to advance through application process.
Login/register page has been redesigned.
Initial Bond Information Page
A login form has been added so users can continue as guest (new customer) or login (as a returning customer).
People Company Page
If only one party (person or company) has been added to the bond application, the Chosen Applicant
The person or company selection checkbox has been hidden unless the application is from a returning customer.
Application Summary Page
This page will be skipped if there is no credit report pull authorization to be consented.
Bond Purchase Page
A new page has been added as the summation of the bond purchase and a quick link to the bond forms generated.
Additional Features
13935 – Added Bond Action and User Lock to Pending Bonds Queue
The Status column for the Pending Bonds queue has been replaced with Bond Action. In addition. a lock icon has been added to indicate if the bond is currently in use by another user. When hovered over, the username will be displayed.
14267 – Mixed Premium Rate Type
A new type of premium rate has been added to combine flat and percentage based tiered rates. When creating the premium rate, a new option, ‘Mixed’, is available as the Rate Calculation Method.
When adding the premium rate items for a mixed premium rate, a new column is displayed to selected whether the tier is to be calculated at a Flat or Percent rate.
The calculation for the above example would be processed as follows:
$25 flat for the first $5,000 of penalty, plus
$4 for each additional $1,000 of penalty from $5,001 to $20,000, plus
$3 for each additional $1,000 of penalty after $20,000.
14996 – Capture Credit Report when a Transaction Fails
The credit reporting service has been modified to capture credit reports when a credit report is pulled but the transaction which prompted the credit pull fails for another reason. This will prevent a credit report being pulled but not kept due to the transaction failing.
The credit report will be associated to the person record and be valid for the number of days designated in the CreditReportRetentionDays system setting.
Fixes
8470 – Safeguarded against Opening Questions until a New Question Group is Saved
When creating a new question group, the ‘Questions’ link for the new record would be displayed and could be clicked. However, if the new question group had not yet been saved, the link would error. This has been adjusted to disallow the link to be clicked until after the new question has first been saved.
15042 – Corrected Decline Expired Quotes Background Job
The Decline Expired Quotes background job had not targeted quotes produced from the requote bond action. This has been corrected to target any quoted new bond or renewal regardless of which bond action was last taken to produce the quote.
15043 – Adjusted Latitude and Longitude Tax Location Fields to Allow Decimals
When being transferred to TransSync, the BondDetailTaxLocationLongitude and BondDetailTaxLocationLatitude values were being rounded to a whole number. This has been corrected to transfer the entire number including decimal values.
15151 – Stopped Duplicate Backgrounds to Run Simultaneously
A safeguard has been introduced to hold a background job from being run more than once at a time. If a background job is triggered for an additional run, the subsequent run will be placed on hold until the current job is completed. Once completed, the subsequent run will be triggered to run immediately after.
15262 – Fixed PreviousVal Overlay Formula for Initiate Cancellation Documents
When using the PreviousVal overlay formula on documents being generated at the Initiate Cancellation or Cancel Bond actions, the formula would not bring in the previous value. This has been fixed to ensure the previous value for the overlay field is populated on document overlays.
15283 – Corrected Overlay Fields Displaying on Manage Applications Page
For additional custom questions from core system question groups (Company, Person, Company on Bond, Person on Bond, Generic Obligees, Projects, Cancellations), the overlay fields would not display correctly on the Maintain Bond>Manage Applications> Questions asked from all Applications.
